Description
The Bedford 18-3818 is a compatible replacement for Graco parts 184236 and 184-236, a piston male gland for Graco spray equipment. The male gland is the nose-profiled ring that nests into the V-packing stack in the pump’s fluid section; paired with its female counterpart it keeps the packings compressed so they seal around the piston rod under pressure. Compatible with Graco Dura-Flow 2400 (580 cc).
Common reasons for replacement:
- Fluid leaking past the packings even after tightening
- Pressure drop from a packing stack that no longer seats squarely
- Grooving or corrosion on the gland face after long service
- Renewed along with new packings during a pump repack
