A system of thin-walled aluminum pipes placed inside a sturdy casing and associated with a drain pan. This coil serves the purpose of the heat exchanger by heating from the air stream, thermal energy. Other materials do not compare to aluminum, which has the added advantage of being a conductor of heat thus enabling heat transfer. The refrigerant on the inside of the tubes takes in heat from the air making it cold.
