Description
The Bedford 42-4093 is a compatible replacement for Titan part 445-237 — the wear ring used in Titan spray equipment. A wear ring centers the piston in its cylinder and absorbs side-load rubbing, sacrificing itself so the piston and cylinder wall do not score.
Common reasons for replacement:
- Piston contacting the cylinder wall as the ring wears through
- Pressure loss from a piston running off-center
- Visible scoring or thinning of the ring at teardown
- Renewed during every piston service
