Description
The Bedford 9-477 is a compatible replacement for Titan part 178-700, a ball for Titan spray equipment. This ball is the moving element of a check valve in the pump’s fluid section: on each stroke it lifts off its seat to let coating through, then reseats to hold pressure. Compatible with Titan Admiral 40:1, Titan Admiral 60:1, Titan Advantage GPX 165, Titan Advantage GPX 220, Titan Commander 30:1, Titan Commander 45:1 and other compatible equipment.
Common reasons for replacement:
- Sprayer loses prime or pressure as the ball wears out-of-round
- Fluid backflow from a ball that no longer seats cleanly
- Pitting or scoring from abrasive coatings
- Replaced together with its seat during a fluid-section rebuild
