Description
The Copeland 918-0009-01 bolt-on crankcase heater is an essential component for the proper functionality of the HVAC systems. It runs on 240 volts and has a capacity of 65 watts which is exclusively made for heating the compressor crankcase at constant temperatures so that it prevents compressor damage and refrigerant migration. Most air conditioning and refrigeration compressor crankcases can accommodate this heater with its 10” diameter. Thus it allows keeping warm temperatures of the compressor oil while preventing the excessive oil wear caused by refrigerants during off-cycles. Furthermore, this provides great help for low temperatures because they tend to be more vulnerable to refrigerant migration problems.
