The Lochinvar & A.O. Smith 100208379 Water Column Pressure Switch with a 0.09″ diameter is a device designed for air conditioning and ventilation systems and is used for pressure control of water in boilers and furnaces. A water column is a vertical pipe that transmits the water from the heating appliance to a hydronic heating system. The water pressure inside the water column reaches a certain low level, the switch is triggered and the system informs the burner to stop operating to protect the apparatus parts from damage that would be caused as a result of low water pressure. Protects equipment and risks by cutting the burner off under conditions of low water pressure.
