Description
The Aaon V07910 Auxiliary Contactor is an electrical switch that is applied to numerous HVAC systems. It also enables containment of other secondary circuits within the HVAC equipment including the fan motors, the compressor, and the heater. Working based on electromagnetic attraction, the contactor has a coil that, when energized, causes a set of contacts to open or close the secondary circuit. This enables remote control, over-current protection, and proper switching of high-current loads. This is utilized in chillers, rooftop units, air handlers,and other commercial HVAC systems among other facilities. This has the advantage of increased reliability, and safety due to the provision of overload protection.
