The Carrier 336836-751 Condensate Trap Kit is a component that you need to have for Carrier HVAC system. When it is running, your HVAC system creates condensate, a form of moisture. This trap avoids clogs and malfunctions as it collects this condensate before it gets to the drain line. The trap consists of a small container where the condensate is collected, and a float installed in the trap. When the reservoir is full, the float goes up and closes the shut-off valve through which the condensate is supposed to pass to provide water to the reservoir until the float goes down again.
