The Carrier 38RR501871 Bearing Bracket is the Carrier HVAC parts, that is used in many Carrier systems. It is intended to protect the bearings that enable the fan motor shaft to turn freely while at the same time providing a secure place for these bearings. If there is no solid bearing bracket to support its position then the shaft can move or rub against something and more friction, noise, and in the worst-case scenario, the motor could be damaged.
