The Carrier HT32CH220 is a crankcase heater belt used in Carrier HVAC systems to stop oil dilution and refrigerant movement, this thin, wrap-around band can easily be fitted around compressor crankcases with diameters of between 5 and 7 inches. It has a 40-watt power consumption at 240 volts, but it keeps warm crankcase oil during off-cycles. This warmth is essential because the refrigerant cannot dissolve into the oil and this will affect the performance and the longevity of the system.
