Description
The Trane COM10052 Compressor is meant for heavy-duty cooling applications in medium to large commercial applications. A strong, independent structure (hermetic) made of cast iron. This Trane model is not a piston type of compressor but uses scroll for operation as is common with most modern units. Two intertwined scrolls located in the enclosed casing work like a pump and compress the refrigerant gas. This design translates to a hefty 4.5 ton (approximately 54,000 BTUH) which is well suited to handle large cooling loads in moderate to large commercial spaces.
