The Trane CON1313 is a Communication Module Connector, a comparatively small part but an essential one for Trane HVAC systems, as it connects wired zone sensors to the main control panel. It can be looked at as a signal interpreter, receiving signals from multiple temperature sensors installed in your building and translating them into something the central unit can comprehend. This wired connection which is approximately 3.7″ long, 1.4″ wide, and only 0.33″ high allows for real-time data transfer.
