Description
The York S1-024-34681-000 Air Pressure Switch in HVAC systems is responsible for measuring pressure. This is a pressure switch made of stainless steel and has a normally open (NO) configuration implying that the switch will close a circuit when certain pressures are exerted upon it. It is intended to operate under pressure differentials of between 0.85 to 1.0 inches of water column for positive pressure and 0.4″ of water column for negative pressure. This pressure switch is used to regulate many functions of an HVAC system including the on/off of a compressor, the speed of a fan, and the safety of the system.
